Having to spend every waking moment deciding between destroying everything that you see and sparing those around you from a fiery and violent death, at the cost of your vision?

Well, if this is your lived experience, this game might hit a bit too close to home. But assuming you don’t have eyeballs of annihilation, If Looks Could Kill might be as good as you get. Solve puzzles and defeat enemies, escaping your captors as you constantly have to decide to keep your eyes closed, or not.

Project Manager & Programmer

Wing Ting (Jo) Chung

Jo? Jo studies computers (CS) and humans (Anthropology) at Tufts and makes computer games for humans. She enjoys problem-solving: creating lasers that reflect, fires that burn, characters who talk… In her free time, she creates Live2D animations and models. Check out Jo's other projects!

Programmer & Composer

Henry Nissen

Henry kind of does a little bit of everything. He’s a violinist, fencer, fighting game player and designer, kitchen sink, etc., and right now he's studying Computer Science at Tufts University. Originally a Smash Bros. modder, he loves figuring out how game systems work and making them do what he wants, a skill he brought over to If Looks Could Kill to create the eye-closing system and peripheral vision blur. Meanwhile, his background as a musician led him to compose the trailer music.

Designer

Peter Wolfe

Peter is a storyteller who had yet another existential crisis while writing his bio. He started his game design journey making Minecraft adventure maps, before transitioning to 3D animation, then acting & writing. In ILCK, he was responsible for the gameplay and level design, 3D models, writing the dialogue, and voice acting your wonderful companion, Artie. He is currently studying Computer Science at Tufts while acting in theater shows & producing sketch comedy on the side.

2D Artist & Designer

George Gallagher

George is a nerd. He enjoys games, both physical and virtual, as well as other nerdy endeavors such as comics and Dune. To support his nerdy interests, he is currently in the Dual Degree program at Tufts University, studying both Computer Science and Fine Art. He has used these skill sets on If Looks Could Kill, spending most of his time designing the 2d assets and marketing materials. Outside of his nerdy interests, he enjoys cooking and shepherding.

SFX Artist & Website Designer

Laura Garcia

Laura loves learning through new experiences and exploring all sorts of narratives. So it's no surprise that she is an avid gamer and enthusiast of all things animated. She is currently majoring in Computer Science to broaden her horizons and one day hopes to work with what she loves. She has started her foray into SFX effects and website design thanks to If Looks Could Kill and plans on using these skills in the future.
